LSU head football coach, Les Miles announced the hiring of Cam Cameron as the LSU football team's new offensive coordinator in an announcement to the press this morning (Feb. 15).
Cameron has a combined 29 years of coaching experience from positions of head coach at the college level to head coach and offensive coordinator in the NFL. Cameron's most recent position was with the Baltimore Ravens, where he served as the offensive coordinator for five years.
Cameron has coached some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, including Drew Brees, Joe Flacco (Super Bowl MVP this year), and Philip Rivers.
Greg Studrawa, who coached the team as offensive line coach and coordinator last year, will return to the offensive line coach position. Steve Kragthorpe, who coached the quarterbacks last year will take on an administrative position.
Les Miles commented on Cameron's hiring by saying, "I think this is a very key hire and a great day for LSU football. I think he will bring a lot to the table. I think he comes in to do and adds to us and builds on what we have accomplished."
With Cameron's experience in coaching quarterbacks, Tiger fans will have high hopes for the next football season. Yes, it is a good day for LSU football!
