It’s Official: “All My Children” and “One Life To Live” will begin production

Soap opera fans have been hearing the rumors. Today, Prospect Park, finally made its announcement. The rumors are true. “All My Children” and “One Life To Live” will begin production in February, 2013. What does this mean?

According to the statement, which was made by Jeff Kwatinetz and Rich Frank, deals have been made with two unions, SAG and AFTRA. Sources say that they are still trying to make a deal with the WGA (Writer’s Guild). They have entered into a consulting agreement with Agnes Nixon. Ms. Nixon is the visionary woman behind both “One Life To Live” and “All My Children.” They hired some necessary directors and executives. Finally, the statement stated that they had the funding that they needed to handle this venture.

This is all news that most soap fans have heard via leaked rumors. The soap fans also know that three actors have also been hired. This includes: Debbi Morgan (Angie), Vincent Irizarry (David) and Lindsay Hartley (Cara). Rumors are spreading that Darnell Williams (Jesse) and Michael E. Knight (Tad) are close to signing.

Rumors are spreading fast about this new venture. For the past week, rumors have been spreading that these shows will be airing on HuluPlus, plus the TheOnlineNetwork. This rumor has made many fans happy and a few more annoyed at the cost. For now, only those within Prospect Park and its production team know for sure if this is a fact or not. This is why is advisable that nobody subscribes to HuluPlus, just to watch these new shows, until they hear some more facts.

Many fans are also wondering if the rumors are true about the shows coming to any cable stations. Some people say that they have heard that there are stations interested in airing them. This would be ideal for many soap fans, especially those who live in rural areas, for those with limits on their internet plans and for those who don’t know how to use the Internet. For now, there are now real facts on these rumors either.

There are also no real facts about which stars are going to sign with Prospect Park. Many stars such as Alisha Minshew have stated that she has been approached, but no deal has been made, yet. Others like Cameron Mathison are wondering about scheduling conflicts. Of course, fans are hoping all the stars can sign and are hoping that they will have a variety of options to watch the shows, then all the fans will be able to watch, even those in rural areas.

For now, most fans are in shock. They are also a bit skeptical. After all, they have been down this road in the past. They were told the stars signing. They heard about start up days for production and then they heard that the shows were completely cancelled. They were heartbroken. No fan wants to go through that, again.
