If you read the Louisville Happy Hour Examiner article about The Bard's Town, the new Shakespearean themed restaurant and theater in the Highlands, you'll know that Bard's Town has a few kinks to work out. You'll also know that every new restaurant, from fine dining to a cafe-style, has a few kinks to work out. However, it's not the kinks themselves but how a restaurant deals with those issues that inevitably leads to success or heart ache.
This Examiner is glad to report that it seems The Bard's Town is taking steps towards the former. As anyone who came across a recently updated version of the aforementioned article already knows, a small issue with pricing was quickly recognized and resolved and now, according to a recently received email from co-proprietor Doug Schutte, they're adding some pretty fantastic (read: some of the best in the city) daily specials to go along with their Monday through Friday happy hour. The daily specials, dubbed the "7 Days A Week Celebration" and happy hour prices are below:
7 Days A Week Celebration:
- Mondays: "Maker's Mondays" $4 Maker's Mark Drinks, all day
- Tuesdays: "Brewsdays" Every Tuesday, a beer will be chosen and sold for cheap. ("This Tuesday [August 31st], for instance, [they're] thinking about running [a] Pilsner Urquell [special]. Something like $2 all day.")
- Wednesdays: "Winesdays" $3.50 glasses of house wine. Plus, 12 bottles on the wine list are 1/2 off, all day.
- Thursdays: "Thor's Days." (Honor[ing] the finest of Norse Gods by dropping the hammer on well prices.) $2 wells, all day.
- Fridays and Saturdays: "The Week-end Freak-end" Happy hour prices from 12am-4am
- Sundays: "Sunday Shakespearience" $2 domestics, $2 "Shotspeares, all day.
