The summer is well underway and as the temperature heats up, one of the best ways to stay cool is by taking a dip in your local community swimming pool. Playing with friends, splashing in the shallow end or doing cannon balls off the diving board, your community pool is a great place to spend quality family time with your children. And by ensuring that your child knows his or her proper water safety, you can fully enjoy the comforts that a refreshing and fun trip to the pool can provide.
Registration for youth swim lessons is currently underway through various community and school-affiliated programs.
The Greenwood City Pool has open swim classes running through the end of July. To register, please go to the Greenwood Community Center. Costs for lessons depend on residency.
The Perry Park Aquatic Center offers swim lessons for both youth and adult swimmers. To register, please call (317) 327-PARK or stop by the Aquatic Center to speak with a representative.
