For over twenty-five years, thousands of patients and family members have had their lives enriched by programs at Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice in the metro area. For the last 6 years Panera Bread has supported a local fundraising event benefiting these programs called ‘Soup for Souls’ and this year’s fund raising is quickly coming to a close. However, there is still time to make a difference!
Simply purchase a soup in a bread bowl at any of Colorado’s 28 Panera Bread locations now through February 29th and $.25 cents will be donated to Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice.
This month long event just happens to take place during Relationship Wellness Month. A month set aside to build stronger, more loving relationships with those in our lives and both Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice work to help individuals make the most of their last days. By doing so, precious relationships among family and close friends are supported and nourished.
Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice deeply believe everyone in the community deserves to face the end of life’s journey with dignity and respect, regardless of their ability to pay. Funds raised at Soup for the Soul support charity care and hospice services not reimbursed by the Medicare Hospice Benefit including spiritual care, bereavement services and volunteer coordination. We believe in treating body, mind and spirit and helping families deal with the loss of a loved one is an essential part of our mission.
