It's never too late to switch to a healthier lifestyle

It took five years before this husband, Chuck K, was ready to follow his wife's lead and adopt a healthier lifestyle, but now look at him. He's loving how he feels.

In his own words, "I was way out of shape. My wife let me know she was concerned, but she didn't bug me about it. Several years ago, she lost a lot of weight and started exercising and I saw the difference it made for her. She even wrote a book about it. (See Chuck's wife's story here.) Eventually I got off my duff and followed suite. I'm glad I did. Now we're planning trips together that include activities like hiking and biking. "One day I looked at myself in the mirror and was surprised to see someone so much slimmer and healthier looking." About two months ago, Chuck added exercise to his routine, and now his wife says she can barely keep up with him. How much has he lost? nearly 50 pounds. He started at age 69, and, like he says, "it’s never too late to switch to a healthier lifestyle." Yes, technically, Chuck is from the generation immediately prior to the oldest of the baby boomers, but the advice still applies, and he's married to a baby boomer!
