Dogs can be just as sensitive as we are to the changing climate. You may have noticed that wet, pink tounge hanging out of the side of your best friend's mouth more than usual. It's been HOT! When your pooch is over-heating and dehydrated they have no way of telling you besides panting and looking cute.
If your dog is kept in the yard most of the year, make sure to have plenty of shaded areas and a kiddie pool to drink from and lay down. Every dog should feel at home indoors when it get too hot, however.
When going on long walks make sure to take a water bottle and bowl for your pup too! Also a great way to keep you pet hydrated is feeding him or her wet food during the summer months.
Have fun this summer and keep cool!!!
