Big doesn't even begin to describe how HUGE the MMA event scheduled for February 2, 2013 at the Zamora Shrine Temple in Birmingham is going to be. Strikehard Productions will be bringing their 2nd PRO/Ammy show to Birmingham and it is going to be sic.
Scheduled to appear as the main event is Pro fighter Daniel O'Brien from Triad Martial Arts vs Matt Hudson of Alan Belcher's MMA. O'Brien is an undefeated MMA fighter with a black belt in karate and Jiu-jitsu as well as a Pan American gold medalist. Hudson has an ammy record of 4:0 and now as a PRO his record is 1:0.
Fred Weaver of Champions Freestyle MMA is also stepping back into the octagon on the Pro ticket. Fred brought in a massive win at SHP21 against Robert Ironman Thompson. It was a knock down drag out of epic proportions.
Amateurs in the line up include Jason "Sunshine" Cefalu, a fan favorite from Mississippi taking on Aaron Quade from Georgia Fight Club. Quade is the reigning Strikehard 125 Champ. Matt Elkins from Gadsden MMA will be challenging Bevon Lewis; also from Georgia Fight Club. Lewis holds the 170 Strikehard Title Belt and Elkins is hoping to be taking home that belt Feb. 2. Matt scored an impressive win on January 12 at SHP21 against Champions Fighter Kenyon Ace Slayton and is looking to continue his winning streak.
Of course this is just a small sampling of what is starting out as an excellent line up for Strikehard. Fight fans are already starting to discuss who is going to come out on top and who will actually be appearing on the final card.
