It's Carnival Time in New Orleans

It's Carnival season in New Orleans!

The city is living in the splendor of its most famous annual tradition- Mardi Gras.

The legacy of Mardi Gras stretches back to 1857, and since then, some 1,800 parades have brought the party outdoors onto the streets of the Big Easy, attracting roughly one million visitors to the city for the festivities every year.

When a native New Orleanian, or really anyone who has experienced Mardi Gras even once, tries to explain it to someone who never has, it’s hard to find the exact words. A stampede of smells, tastes, colors, feelings and sounds combine to form that Mardi Gras essence. Besides all the parades and events, Mardi Gras is a festiveness festival!
