For the third year, the Downtown Willoughby Business Association (along with other Erie Street businesses) is hosting art walks every second Friday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Willoughby businesses will stay open late and run in-store specials in concert with a monthly theme. For May the theme is Go Local!

Last year the art event was held twice, and because of its success, the association has decided to extend the event to a five-part series. Always on the second Friday of the month, the art walk will run through September. Most shops will host an in-house artist.

Illustrators, glass artists, photographers, painters, jewelry-makers and musicians will be among the arts celebrated at the shops. This year will also feature a Handmade in Cleveland Pop-Up Shop on the second floor of Arabica Coffeehouse. This new event, organized by local artist Colleen Smith, will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and features mixed media, pottery, candles, photography, and more.

Favorite bars and restaurants will be part of the event by offering specials for happy hour (during the time for the walk) , including specially-priced drinks, appetizers, and more.
