It's almost time to get wet at LEGOLAND ® Water Park and Wet ‘n Wild® Orlando

It's a sure sign that the summertime is nearly here when local waterparks begin to emerge from their wintry slumber and the sounds of screaming patrons return to the slippery slides. On Saturday, April 12, the fun really gets going as the LEGOLAND ® Water Park at LEGOLAND Florida gears up for a third year of family fun for the 2014 season.

Specifically designed for families with children ages two to 12, LEGOLAND Water Park features more than four million LEGO brick while offering interactive water play fun for the entire family.

A park-within-a-park, the LEGOLAND Water Park features multiple attractions that the whole family can enjoy. One of the favorites being the unique Build-A-Raft river. There, families can imagine, design and build a unique LEGO ® vessel and set afloat on a maiden voyage around the 1000-foot-long lazy river, set amongst playful LEGO Friends, flowering vegetation and palm trees. Some of the slightly wilder rides include the Twin Chasers, where friends ride tubes 375 feet down an intertwining pair of enclosed water slides before plunging into a refreshing pool below. Thrill seekers can also conquer Splash Out, where you can ascend to the tallest point of the water park attraction and choose from one of three unique slides, then speed down a 60-foot drop and “splash out” into the water below.

For a much milder adventure be sure to check out Joker Soaker; a fun, interactive playground with various lengths, heights and types of slides that offer something different for every member of the family. Guests can wade in the surrounding pool and be surprised with a torrential spill from a 300-gallon bucket.

Youngsters will fall in love with DUPLO® Splash Safari, where toddlers rule at this water play area with shorter slides and interactive, larger-than-life DUPLO creatures.

Guests can also enjoy a vast assortment of yummy meals at the Beach-n-Brick or Waveside Grill, get fitted out in the latest swimwear at the Surf Shop or rent out a private space with your very own host in the Cabana Rental.

LEGOLAND Water Park admission is not available without a ticket to LEGOLAND Florida, a 150-acre interactive theme park with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions, a Water Park and The LEGO® World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network all geared to families with children ages 2 to 12.

In 2015, The LEGOLAND Hotel will open featuring 152 highly themed rooms and suites, LEGO décor, interactive play areas, a pool and a restaurant.

Of course, the excitement doesn't stop with the LEGO themed park. Located on International Drive, close to the Universal Orlando Resort, you'll find more high-speed, seriously twisted, multi-person adventures that let you feel the fun and share the rush at Wet ‘n Wild.

On May 3, contemporary Christian music band Tenth Avenue North will perform live in concert at Wet ‘n Wild Orlando’s 6th Annual Waves of Glory, where emerging artists in Christian, rock, worship, gospel and rap help celebrate a day of fun, faith and fellowship as part of a high-powered, musical face-off.
