Bedford Falls, the town made famous in the classic Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life" starring James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore, comes to life this weekend and you don't even have to leave the Cleveland area to see it. Just head for the Cleveland southeast suburb of Bedford on Saturday, December 14 from noon - 4 p.m. and attend the city's annual "Christmas in Bedford Falls" celebration.
"Christmas in Bedford Falls"Celebration Taking place in the historic district of Bedford, the city pays homage to the famous holiday movie by becoming Bedford Falls for 4 hours. The festival kicks off at noon with the arrival of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at the 1892 historic train station
Activities will be offered along Broadway Avenue both on the street and at various businesses and at the Town Square. Among the sights, sounds and activities will be horse-drawn wagon rides, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, puppet shows, strolling carolers, storytelling and Balloon Benders. And don't miss the Burning River-N-Track train display.
The Bedford Square lighting display will be lit up for all to enjoy.
There will be a variety of treats and giveaways for visitors at various locations.
Admission to the "Christmas in Bedford Falls" event is free. Parking is free. Hours are noon - 4 p.m.
