South African women's 800-meter world champion Caster Semenya had to undergo multiple gender tests before the IAAF allowed her on Tuesday to participate in any athletic competitions again as woman after her win in Berlin, Germany last August sparked a worldwide controversy and forced her on an 11-months layoff.
"I am thrilled to enter the global athletics arena once again and look forward to competing with all the disputes behind me." Semenya said.
Although the results of the gender tests will not be released for privacy reasons Semenya had to endure the embarrassment of having to prove her gender through medical tests while her civil rights and dignity were under fire. To make matters worse Australian media reported that she had both, male and female sex organs. At least she was able to keep the prize money and gold medal she earned last year.
"The process initiated in 2009 in the case of Caster Semenya has now been completed," Athletics' world governing body said in a statement. "The IAAF accepts the conclusion of a panel of medical experts that she can compete with immediate effect."
Hopefully all is well that ends well as Semenya plans to compete at the world junior championships in Moncton, Canada, July 19.

Male and female sex organs, no less!
On another note, I watched the pic and wow I hope it was not a guess based on Australian males equipment.
