On Friday night, May 30, 2014, House of Blues, 15 Lansdowne Street, Boston has Danity Kane, an independent female group who came together on the hit television series, "Making the Band" on MTV. In 2005 these girls were signed to Bad Boy/Atlantic Records under the direction of Sean "Diddy" Combs. Their first album, "Danity Kane" along with their second album, "Welcome to the Dollhouse" both debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart placing them in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the first female group in Billboard's history to have two debut albums in the #1 spot. The band is Aubrey O'Day, Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex.

The Blue Light Bandits are playing at Johnny D's Uptown Restaurant and Music Club, 17 Holland Street in Somerville for the We Dig Free Friday Music Series at Johnny D's on Friday night. This local band came together in 2009 with Daniel DeCristofaro on keyboards and guitar and Ethan Bates on bass and cello. In 2012 they added Mike Braz on drums and guitar. Elcodirve, a Boston based rock band will be performing with Siobhan Magnus at Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan Street, Fall River on Friday. The band has been actively recording in their own studio for the past year, experimenting with new sounds and approaches with guitar driven rock that Cheap Trick and the Stones would approve! The band is: Mike Golarz on lead vocals and guitar, Tom Smith on bass, keys and backing vocals and Mike Courcy on guitar, pedal steel and backing vocals and Evan Smith on drums and backing vocals. Also at the Hard Rock on Saturday is The Ethan Brosh Band. The band is an intense hard rock instrumental band, featuring the guitar as the lead instrument. Brosh, the group's leader recently released his second record on legendary drummer Carmine Appice's record label "Rocker Records" after taking his band on the road to be the direct support act for guitar legend Yngwie Malmsteen last spring. The Triple Threat Band rocks the Boat at the Tipsy Seagul, 1 Ferry Street, Fall River on Saturday, May 31, 2014. The Triple Threat Blues Crusade is a 4 piece (drums, guitar, bass and sax) high energy blues and classic rock band that won the Massachusetts Blues Society Challenge in 2013 and represented the area in Memphis on Beale St this past January at the International Blues Challenge. They will be releasing their new CD "She's One of a Kind" which features blues Legend James Montgomery on the title track this summer.

Triple Threat will also be playing out on Sunday for an early show at Boondocks, 46 Water Street in Fall River from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The Regatta Bar at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge has an all star line up on Saturday night with Sugar Ray Norcia of the Bluetones Band, a two time Grammy nominee performing along with his band mate Monster Mike Welch who is a well known blues guitarist. The band is David Maxwell on keyboards who has an enormous resume playing keys with some of the greatest and well known blues musicians. Maxwell plays many styles of blues, jazz and improvised music, but is best known for his soulful and unmatched ability of post war Chicago Blues. His reputation is one of the finest blues pianists alive. On harp and vocals is two time Grammy nominee Sugar Ray Norcia, Monster Mike Welch on guitar, Marty Ballou on bass and Per Hanson on drums.
