In fact, it is way past time; forty years past time. Forty years ago today, January 20, 1963, the United States Supreme Court ruled that it was "constitutional" to have an abortion. This country has been on a spiraling downward course since 1962 when the same court banned prayer in schools, then again in 1963. This same court has set a precedent of establishing law from the bench, rather from the legislature, making it the most powerful branch of our government. Here is how messed up this system is. The muslim countries use this same process to condemn Christians, and women to death. This is the road that we are traveling down, and it is past time to put the brakes on. The three branches of government are according to the Constitution equal, but it hasn't been so.
Since January 20th of 1963, almost 55, 000, 000 babies have been murdered, each murder sanctioned by the government. The Bible tells us that these 55, 000, 000 babies were life, even before conception (Jeremiah 1:5 ""Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you"). If God knew us before we were formed, then life began BEFORE conception. That is a hard pill for nonbelievers to swallow, but it is true. There are 33 versus in the Bible that talks about Life in one form or another. How many tears has God shed for each one of those 55,000,000 abortions? We cannot continue down this road to survive spiritually as a nation. We are in a moral decay that exceeds the days of Noah.
We cannot continue down this road to survive financially as a nation, either. Let's do the math. Now keep in mind that 55, 000, 000 babies are what we know the abortionists say they have killed. There are probably three times more that has been done and not recorded. If you do not want to get into the moral or spiritual ramifications of abortion, then let us do the financial aspect. Each abortion affects us financially. Not only are we spending money to have the abortions done, we are also taking money out of our budget, therefore contributing to the financial crisis we find ourselves in. For instance, for the sake of argument, let's say 150,000,000 babies has been aborted thus far in this country since 1963. And let's say these babies were allowed to grow up, work and pay taxes. Now, let's put the taxes at $6,000 a person per year. If these aborted lives were allowed to work the last 40 years, what would you get? Now remember our national debt is now standing at more than 16 trillion dollars. Here is the math-are you ready for this? 150,000,000 abortions x $6000 taxes if they were allowed to work x 40 years of taxes paid = $36,000,000,000,000. That is thirty six-trillion dollars in taxes. This is estimated, but it is not over simplified. Now tell me again why we are in debt to the tune of sixteen trillion dollars? We could have had a balanced budget every year.
So, while you are meditating on the abortions taking place, remember that each abortion affects our ability to survive morally, spiritually, and financially as a nation. Let us get down on our knees to pray for this nation, and get up and fight for this nation to be acceptable in the eyes of God. He will bless us, but we have to change our ways, unselfishly.
