It is the storm that just won’t end. It just goes on and on my friends. This winter has become as irritating as that little ditty but it is true. There is more in our near forecast.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lancaster County from 9 p.m. this evening to noon Tuesday. The NWS warns that we may see another several issues of snow.
The advisory goes on to warn of snow and sleet. Anticipated accumulations may be two to four inches of snow and sleet with a “thin glaze of ice.” This most recent storm looks to hit Lancaster by 2 a.m.
Visibility may also be affected. It may be as low as a quarter of a mile.
By now, many in Lancaster County can appreciate the damage of heavy snow and ice on tree limbs. When those limbs fall onto power lines, it can cause power outages. PPL Electric Utilities is prepared to quickly and safely respond to customers who may lose service due to accumulating ice and snow. If you lose power, please report your outage by calling 1-800-DIAL-PPL (342-5775) or visiting our online Outage Center at www.pplelectric.com/outage. PPL relies on customers to tell us about outages. The website also has tips to prepare for stormy weather and other information.
