According to a report from TMZ.com on Saturday, Jan. 12, the real reason behind the split behind music icon Britney Spears and Jason Trawick was likely because of a conflict over whether or not the couple would have more children.
Having already had two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, the 31-year old Spears is eager to have more children but it’s a desire that isn't shared by Trawick, who, at 41 years old, is “in another place” in his life.
Frequent arguments over this issue reportedly led to the couple’s unraveling. Adding to the troubles was the fact that Trawick had a hard time handling the empire Speaks helped to create, as it “took away his individuality”.
Following their split, Spears returned the $90,000 engagement ring that had been given to her.
The breakup comes on the heels of mixed reports as to why Spears won’t be returning for another season as a judge on “X-Factor”.
From her end, Spears claims to be focusing more on her own music career but producers from the show had already nixed the idea of bringing Spears and her $15 million salary back for another run on the show.
