Israeli Gangnam Style: Two Israeli soldiers — while still in uniform at the time and also carrying guns — are in quite a bit of trouble and have been put under suspension this week after enjoying a party at a Hebron club. According to UPI this Thursday, Aug. 29, the soldiers couldn’t resist the hit “Gangnam Style” song by Psy, and were caught on video dancing to the hit while partying with the Palestinian crowd.
The Israeli Gangnam Style scandal came about after someone’s cell phone caught the surprising incident on its video feature, showcasing the soldiers kicking back when they were supposed to be on duty, with one of the Israeli soldiers even getting heaved on to the shoulders of one of the Palestinian partygoers.
Although everyone at the dance club seemed to enjoy the “Gangnam Style” stint, the two Israeli soldiers’ commanding officers were less than pleased. According to the report, the Israeli Defense Force soon looked into the video with a follow-up investigation after the cell phone camera’s footage became an online hit.
It seems the two soldiers have since been put on suspension pending the dubbed “Israeli Gangnam Style” investigation. While Psy's biggest song of 2013 may have been popular around the world, it can certainly create blurred lines between business and pleasure, the report concluded.
