The Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan consists of talented teenagers from Israel who are selected to perform in Jewish communities across North America each summer. They follow a grueling schedule, but you would never know it from watching their show--which showcases their infections energy and enthusiasm.
The Scouts are more then just performers. they are emissaries who bring a tast e of Israeli culture and experience to their audience. They sing in Hebrew, English and yiddish and between songs, they tell stories.
The Scouts are hosted by families in each of the communities they visit, enriching their own experience and that of the host families.
Each teenager in the Friendship Caravan is a member of the Israeli Scouts movement, which has 60,000 members and is part of the international scouting movement.
The Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan will perform this Sunday, June 27 at 4 p.m. at the Lewis and Shirley White Theater on the Jewish Community Campus. Tickets are $3 per person and the public is invited to attend.
Their visit is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City.
