Israel’s President Peres delivered a political speech about former PM Rabin, who was assassinated. In the speech, he identified the slain Rabins’ policies with his. Actually, Rabin opposed formation of an Arab state in the Territories. He was more right-wing then than Likud is now (www.imra.org.il, 10/29).
Peres, in effect, assassinated the beliefs of Rabin, from whose death he inherited the premiership. To read about Peres’ probable responsibility for it, click here
