Two people who have been friends since elementary school have grown to be the best of adult friends. Isn’t it great when friendships have withstood the test of time?

When you were young you were silly. Always joking and having fun. You told each other everything. Well, almost everything. Even the best of friends have their own secrets that they hold until what they deem is right timing.

It’s miraculous to watch a friendship grow over time: The extending of friends into mature adults. Watching each other’s children grow up and now those children have their own. It’s amazing.

When you think about it, you know that’s friendship. Good friendship. We’re talking about the kind of friendship that weathers all storms, all times, and distances. These days they want to say that kind of friendship is almost extinct. I don’t think so. What do say you?

"Women", an annual exhibition that honors and celebrates women, is now accepting art and performance submissions. Expressed through the vision of female artists, the exhibition commemorates women through various mediums and theme displaying their gifts, strengths and talents. The 3rd annual “Women” exhibition will be on view at Detroit Contemporary in March 2014. A $12 Detroit Contemporary artist membership is required if selected for the exhibition.
