Here are some notes for those fans watching the New York Islanders (7-8-1) who are on the road to take on the Buffalo Sabres (6-11-1) in NHL action. New York will conclude a three-game road trip with the fourth game of a five-in-seven stretch.
This will be the second of three meetings between the Isles and Sabres this season, with Buffalo holding a 1-0 series edge.
