The Islamic Jihad has claimed responsibility for today's bombing of Israel. They launched at least 30 rockets into Israel. According to a March 12 report by the Jerusalem Post, the Israel Air Force has started bombing targets in Gaza in response to the bombing.

The Israeli media reported that up to 55 rockets had been fired on Israel from the Gaza strip. It had been previously reported that it was only about 30 rockets. According to those earlier reports, one woman had been injured while trying to find shelter.

The Islamic Jihad stated they had fired over 90 rockets at Israel. Many of the rockets were shot down by Israel's Iron Dome rocket defense system. The exact number of intercepted rockets was unknown at the time of publication. They also said that Israel had killed three of its “operatives” when the Israel Air Force struck an Islamic Jihad cell in southern Gaza yesterday.

Today's attack happened after the British Prime Minister, David Cameron expressed his support of Israel. He commented that he would stand with Israel against “Islamic extremists” and a nuclear Iran.
