Chicago, IL - In December, witnesses observed children beating a stray dog with sticks and a baseball bat.
The injured dog made her way back to a home and scratched at the door to be let in...it was the dog's bloodied paw prints which led authorities to the identity of her negligent owner, Lashon Parks.
Many people have wondered about the fate of the dog who had been treated so miserably and now, there is happy word of her progress.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Isis is recovering well from her injuries and learning to trust again.
Isis has been recovering at the Chicago Animal Care and Control facility where she is making an "unbelievable" recovery.
If all goes as planned, Isis will be up for adoption in the next few weeks.
