The mobile Isis Wallet app was working its way upward to establish its quality brand in the world of mobile wallets until the same spelling was used by ISIS the terrorist group. Isis posted on its blog site Monday that the Isis vision was set four years ago to power through the mobile phone a safe and secure method to shop, pay and save money.

Now, Isis has made a wise business decision to begin establishing a new name for its free mobile wallet app. Isis CEO Michael Abbott stated on the blog site that, "Changing a brand is never easy, but we know this is the right decision.” Isis, the good guys, does not want to be associated with the atrocious actions in Syria over the past three years.

Abbott explained that a new brand name has yet to be chosen but it will distance itself from the misery and loss suffered by those in Syria for whom “our hearts go out to,” according to Abbott.

The Isis Wallet allows consumers to add their payment card of choice, including those of American Express, Chase and Wells Fargo, to the app and pay at the point of sale. Additionally, consumers can redeem coupons and apply loyalty rewards using their smartphone.

The mobile wallet app Isis has nationwide customers and also the support of AT&T and Verizon, leaders in wireless devices. Despite a solid beginning it lagged behind on the Google search by appearing after ISIS the terrorist group. That was the impetus for Isis the business group to make the decision to choose a new name to express its quality brand.

While Isis begins to create a new brand name it remains committed to its vision to grow the mobile payments ecosystem through its mobile wallet. The focus remains on great product delivery.

Monday this story appeared incorrectly as “Isis Bitcoin brand against terrorist group.” Isis does not provide bitcoin as an option in its mobile app. Please, note that Isis has released this statement on their blog site, “However coincidental, we have no interest in sharing a name with a group whose name has become synonymous with violence and our hearts go out to those who are suffering. As a company, we have made the decision to rebrand.”

Please, visit the Isis website to obtain information on how to use the Isis Wallet app for your mobile shopping.
