Is your Coggins up to date?

Here's two opportunities to get your Coggins up-to-date  before show season, without incurring the cost of a farm call.

Saturday, February 19th - Anson County - Polkton, NC

Brown Creek Equine Hospital will  hold a Coggins and Wellness Clinic from 1pm to 5pm at their Polkton hospital  Coggins tests will be $20. Routine vaccinations and wellness exams will be offered at discounted rates.

The Union County Saddle Club (UCSC) will be hosting their Annual Coggins Clinic on Saturday, February 26th from 9 am to 12 pm on the Union County Saddle Club Show grounds in Monroe, NC.

Dr. Robin Smith of Yellowhorse Mobile Veterinary Service will be collecting Coggins test blood samples for $25.00 - reports will now be digital and include 3 photos of your horse, so all horses will have to be unloaded for photographing purposes. Old Coggins tests are not necessary but helpful, so bring if you have them!

The UCSC will be offering a separate clinic for dogs and cats, tentatively scheduled for March 19th. If you are a horse owner and have small animals that are comfortable around horses, you may bring them with you to the Coggins Clinic on February 26th if that will be more convenient for you.

Small animal shots and pricing are as follows:

  • Rabies (dog/cat): 10.00
  • Distemper Parvo (DHCP-P): 25.0
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough): 10.00
  • Feline Leukemia: 22.00
