The question, biblically speaking, is deeper than that. Asking “Is there a serpent seed?” in the Bible is simple enough as the answer, as per Genesis 3:15, is a very simple “Yes” since YHVH tells the serpent ("the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan" Revelation 20:2):
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed.”
Therefore, satan has seed. Thus, the deeper question is just how did satan go about producing seed: 1) it is just symbolic of those who follow him, 2) was it through sex with Eve or, 3) was it through genetic manipulative hybridization? These are the three options we will consider.
1) It is just symbolic of those who follow him?
Symbolically one could certainly refer to those who follow satan as being his seed. In fact, 1st John 3:9-12 employs the term as such:
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.”
Be aware of taking a text out of context to make a pretext for a prooftext as someone could partially quote “Cain, who was of that wicked one” and claim that Eve mated with satan. However, the text is very clear in noting that they who are “born of God” (born again as per John 3:7 also note that 1st Peter 1:23 refers to “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible”) have YHVH’s seed remain in them thereafter.
There are “children of God” and “children of the devil” and the distinction is made via which one does, acts out, YHVH’s will. Since “whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother” we know that since “the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another” but Cain “slew his brother” then he was not of YHVH, as per his actions, but of satan “Because his own works were evil.” In this case, it is not about genetics but about actions.
Yet, on the physical side of it, we note that the woman, Eve, had real actual literal seed and there so much satan, “your seed and her seed.”
2) Was it through sex with Eve?
That which the Bible relates about Eve giving birth is made into much by those who claim that Eve and satan had sex and that satan’s seed was literally birthed when Eve gave birth to their offspring. However, considering the texts does away with such a view quite readily. We are specifically told of three time when Eve gave birth: Cain, Able and Seth (of course, she gave birth to many more boys and girls, see Where did Cain get his wife?).
Genesis 4:1-2 covers two of these:
“And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel.”
“Adam knew Eve his wife” and this knowing refers to copulation as via this action “she conceived” by Adam and she “bare Cain” stating that “I have gotten a man from the Lord” and not from satan; she considered Cain a gift from YHVH. In this very same way, Adam knowing Eve and conceiving as a gift from YHVH, “she again bare his brother Abel.”
Verse 25 states:
“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.”
The patter is the same as “Adam knew his wife” via which “she bare a son” and she proclaimed that “God… appointed me another seed.” This reference to “seed” is an example of the fact noted above that since her seed is literal so is satan’s but satan did not produce his seed through Eve. If satan and Eve produced seed then how could her seed be at enmity with his? One may be tempted to say that Eve’s seed via Adam is “her seed” and Eve’s seed via satan is his seed. However, this is not only a forced stretching of very clear texts but would also mean that there are not two seeds but, essentially, 1/2 and 1/2 seeds are Eve bore them all.
3) Was it through genetic manipulative hybridization?
Now we come to an odd place because, in a manner of speaking, while satan has literal physical seed his seed is not directly his own but, as per 1) above is symbolic of those who follow him and literal in that they are literally those who follow him. Allow us to elucidate.
It is important to note that satan is not a fallen angle but is a fallen cherub. Some generalize and stated that cherubim are a type of angel but these are two very different categories of being. For example, angles have human, male, bodies and do not have wings. Cherubim do not have human bodies and have four wings (another category, seraphim, also do not have human bodies and have six wings).
That “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2nd Corinthians 11:14) can mean, at least, two things. The text states that satan metaschematizo’s himself which means to “change the figure of, to transform.” Angel means messenger which actually denotes the function or mission of that category of being. So satan could be metaschematizo-ing himself meaning to pretend to be a messenger of YHVH and he may have the ability to metaschematizo himself so that he looks like an angel. Perhaps he does both; appears as an angelic human male in order to deliver a message which he pretends is from YHVH (think of Muhammad, John Dee, Joseph Smith and many others who received supposed angelic messages). But there is no indication that anyone or anything can physically morph—if he does such a thing it could be a mental illusion.
In any case, the point being that satan, being a cherub, is not likely to have the, shall we say, equipment adequate to fit the human female anatomy—capiche? Now, what does this do for the serpent having sex with Eve? It appears impossible (whether satan appeared as an actual serpent/snake which does not seem to be the case or, most likely, he appeared as his cherub self; which, again, is not human male looking.
It appears that satan was the first rebel and that he did, indeed, have other heavenly beings and does have human beings who follow him and become fallen.
The key to unlocking who really are satan’s seed seems to be Genesis 6:1-5 which states:
“Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
Then the LORD said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.’
The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
In Matthew 22:30 Jesus refers to humans who “in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage” and specifies that “but are as the angels.” At least that is how someone taking a text out of context to make a pretext for a prooftext would quote it which is from which they would simply conclude that the sons of God are not angels since, “Angels don’t get married.” Well, the text is actually very specific, “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” The faithful angels of YHVH in heaven do not get married which is how we can know that the sons of God in Genesis 6 were fallen as they left heaven and did marry.
Another reason to not think that satan himself was not one of the sons of God referred to in Genesis 6 is that those sons of God have been locked away whilst “your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1st Peter 5:8).
That the sons of God referred to in Genesis 6 have been locked away is made clear in 2nd Peter chapter 2:
“God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men…especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority.”
This is also referenced in Jude 4-8:
“And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.”
Thus, we can tie up this issue by concluding that satan’s has literal seed symbolically. This is because while his seed is not seed which has proceeded forth from his body it does refer to the seed made by those who followed him and fell.
And if you think that you might be of satan’s seed the answer is simple; repent and spoil satan’s seed by not following him any longer by turning to Jesus for salvatrion.
