Is there a doctor in the house?

Finally. Someone who is not afraid to speak the truth. Someone who is not so enamored with the novelty of it all. Someone who is not "going along, just get along". Someone who can speak with compassion, yet, declare the truth.

Thank you Dr. Benjamin S. Carson.

In case you missed it, Dr. Carson spoke at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast attended by President Barack Obama. In his speech, Dr. Carson expressed in unequivocal terms his ideas of political policies based on Biblical principles.

Dr. Carson's speech was refreshing because it spoke of Biblical truth and not humanistic truth. It was not based on how man "feels" but rather what God says. It reminded us of the "compass" we are all compelled to live our lives by.

Equally as remarkable was that Dr. Carson's speech did not disrespect or disparage President Obama and his many accomplishments - as the first African American president of the United States and his many other successes even prior to the presidency. Yet, the speech still did what was necessary to do: "Cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God... ." (2 Cor. 10:5)

Dr. Carson did a fine job of declaring God's truth. Now it is our job to submit to it.
