Is the WWE mishandling the career of Cody Rhodes?

Cody Rhodes has all the tools to become a superstar in the WWE. However, it seems that he's only able to reach a certain level of success within the WWE before he slides back down the food chain. Many within the WWE Universe are frustrated over the handling, or mishandling, of Cody Rhodes. You can add his brother (Goldust) to the growing list of disgruntled fans. According to a March 8 report by Newsday.com, Goldust made the following comments about the WWE's handling of Cody Rhodes:

"Sometimes they get a little hot and cold with Cody. I just wish they would make up their minds.”

Goldust would also go on to praise his brother, saying that Cody has a "great head on his shoulders" and that he's "proud" of him. Additionally, Goldust is still lobbying for a WrestleMania match against his brother, which has been going on for a few years now.

Cody Rhodes has spent that last 4 to 6 months predominantly as a tag-team wrestler as he teams up with Damien Sandow. However, 1 year ago at this time, Cody was flying up the WWE ladder as he was a long-running intercontinental champion.

Cody comes from a wrestling family. Not only is his brother a successful wrestler but his father Dusty Rhodes is considered a wrestling legend. It's definitely odd how the WWE builds up Cody for a while only to drop him back down in to obscurity.
