A day after the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 vanished, Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of Rev. Billy Graham posted an eerie and curious message on her blog.
In a striking correlation to what will happen at the rapture, she posted these words, “Is this a small snapshot of what the entire world will experience the day after the rapture of the church?”
Lotz’s message is not without reason. The fundamental theory is still unanswered and people are left wondering what happened. Is this a glimpse of things to come? How could a large commercial aircraft just vanish?
She writes, “Did something happen to the pilots so that without guidance the plane plunged intact into the depths of the sea? Bottom line: Where are all the people?”
“The answers don’t seem to be forthcoming as I write this. But as I have prayerfully pondered all of the above, I can’t help but wonder…Is this worldwide sense of shock and helplessness, of questions and confusion, of fear and grief, a glimpse of things to come?”
The world is watching. The world is waiting for answers. Several countries are on search missions. Numerous media sources are focusing their efforts to find the missing plane and the 239 people on board. The questions are haunting these families as they wonder what happened. Where are their loved ones?
Anne Graham Lotz writes what’s in her heart. Her words express what’s on many hearts across the globe, “The pictures of grieving friends and family members of those who are missing are heart-wrenching. I have prayed for God’s peace and comfort for them, as well as God’s direction of the search and rescue teams who are desperately looking for clues that will solve the mystery. But the unanswered questions seem to intensify the horror... How could a modern airliner drop out of sight so quickly and completely?”
Numerous theories regarding the plane's fate continue, even suggesting the pilots were on a suicide mission and crashed the airliner.
On March 20, the Christian Post reported Chris Goodfellow’s theory of what might have happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. An experienced former pilot, Goodfellow suggests a fire onboard could have knocked out the transponders. “For me the loss of transponders and communications makes perfect sense if a fire. There was most likely a fire or electrical fire. In the case of fire the first response if to pull all the main busses and restore circuits one by one until you have isolated the bad one.”
He says an experienced pilot was flying this plane. With over 18,000 hours he knew the course of action. “The left turn is the key here.”
“Fire in an aircraft demands one thing - you get the machine on the ground as soon as possible.”
Lotz suggested that the feeling of unknowingness and helplessness that has affected the world since the flight disappeared on March 8 will be the same feeling experienced by mankind when the Rapture happens and God comes back to Earth to claim His followers for heaven. Nonbelievers will be left to wonder: "Where have all the people gone?"
This is definitely something to think about. The search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is now entering its third week with no clear indication of the fate of the aircraft.
