The Houston Dynamo know all about winning. As the winningest major sports franchise in Houston since their arrival in 2006, the Dynamo have experienced only one non- winning season.
Last season when things looked bleak and the team limped out of Philadelphia following a 3-1 loss, the Dynamo re-found the magic and finished with a second consecutive trip to the MLS Cup.
This year, Houston entered Philadelphia struggling to put the ball in the net and emerged having done that with a 1-0 win taking a cue from team captain Brad Davis.
"Seven games left, it's time to go play ball. Our mentality has to be to go and win games. It’s that time of year.”
Since their inception the men in orange have finished every season in strong fashion. In seven seasons they have secured 17 wins and 13 draws against just 4 losses from mid-September till the end of the regular season earning six trips to the playoffs, four title games and two championships.
Following the team's win in Philadelphia, defender Bobby Boswell was elated about the team's win and the push for the playoffs.
"Bottom line is we are tired of talking amongst ourselves, we wanna go out and just get it done and tonight we did that.
If Boswell's words are any indication, there's no doubt this team will finish strong once more.
