Is the blizzard going to shut down New York Fashion Week?

The snowstorm Nemo is causing havoc in New York. Especially for the designers who are preparing to show their new fashion collections for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, according to E! News on Feb. 7.

Marc Jacobs is worried he will not have everything he needs for his show. Jacobs is currently missing bags, shoes and two fabrics due to delivery delays caused by the snowstorm.

Jacobs and Marc Jacobs International president, Robert Duffy, released a statement that they have decided to postpone Jacobs show from Feb. 11 to Feb. 14.

Currently Jacobs is the only designer to postpone his show at this time, but it is very possible that there will be more designers who will decide to postpone their shows as well.

The other designers who are present for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, are concerned about transportation delays and delivery delays as well. There is also the concern that models will not be able to make it to the show. Stay posted for other possible postponed shows.
