Is Paul McCartney the mystery man who's finally getting a Hollywood star?

Could Paul McCartney be finally getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Ana Martinez, who oversees the Walk of Fame, sent out a mysterious tweet Wednesday. It said, "We finally got him, we finally got him to set a date for his star ceremony! Stay tuned for details, peeps!"

There was no comment from either Martinez or McCartney's reps from our inquiry to confirm or deny it's McCartney.

McCartney's star was approved a long time ago. The only thing that's been stopping him from getting it was no ceremony had been scheduled.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but within the last few weeks, we asked Martinez what was the status of the McCartney ceremony was. She told us that his eligibility expired years ago and would have to be reinstated it with the Walk of Fame committee.

Would that be a huge hurdle? She said it shouldn't be an issue. "Just a matter of re-instating by polling committee," she told us.

Ever since Ringo Starr received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February, 2010, fans have wondered when Paul McCartney would get finally get his star. He's the only Beatle who doesn't have one.

John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison each have their star at the Capitol Records tower on Vine Street. The Beatles as a group also have one, though it's not at the tower. It's located on the north side of the 7100 block of Marshfield Way.

And the former Beatle will turn 70 this year. It might just be the right time.

So could Paul McCartney be getting that Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame his fans have long been hoping for?

Keep your fingers crossed. We should find out one way or another soon.
