You would think so from this video (posted below).
The short film, entitled "I Pledge", is apparently put together by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher and involves a bunch of Hollywood celebrities. Now, for the most part, the stuff they say is pretty innocent., and even admirable.
Michael Strahan pledges to "see myself as an American...not an African-American."
Someones pledges to not flick people off while driving. Many, to find a service project.
There are the typical liberal ones (it is Hollywood after all), mostly settling around being green:
"I pledge to sell my obnoxious car and drive a hybrid."
"I pledge to be more green", "turn the lights off", "drive slower to use less gas."
I have no problem with these. I may think they're wrong, but who cares? These are all individual actions that don't effect me. They're fighting for what they believe, so that's fine. (Though I wonder; how many of these celebrities would give up their mansions? Wouldn't shutting down these monstrosities that use more power than a small village do more for the environment than using paper over plastic?)
Now, I have two main problems with the film.

First, is Obama your president...or your god? One of the lines in the video is, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama." Another is a group pledge "to be a SERVANT to our president." I mean come on, can you even imagine what would happen if Republicans put a video together like this for Bush? (I don't know who would do it: What is the equivalent of Hollywood for Republicans? Businessmen?)
The second problem is the typical one for many progressives (especially rich ones). When they say "I pledge", for most of this stuff, they are actually pledging for themselves. However, they also have pledges to "help make sure senior citizens have access to health care" and "to advance stem-cell research." These are pledges to force the rest of us to do something they think is right.
I mean, really...does anyone think by "access to health care" they are talking about starting foundations to help the poor? No, of course not. They mean working to pass universal health care and shoving their beliefs down everyone else throats. But I forgot...that's only bad when conservatives do it.
(Note: I don't want, nor support legislation, for either side to do it, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy)

I would not be surprised if 90% of these folk break their pledge within 30 days of making it. Even the one who pledged to smile more. Don't get me wrong, I pray each morning to let God into my heart and be a better person in every way. But that's the point, I don't do that because a done-nothing liberast (someone has got to coin the word) tries to float a con on me.
This type of progressivism is about feeling good, not doing good.
I wonder how long Jason Bateman kept his pledge to not flush after a p*ss. Over/under 3 hours. I'll say under.
Obama is the public servant TO US - NOT the other way around. The “I pledge to be a servant to mankind and Obama” makes me absolutely sick.

2) I always find it funny when Republicans complain about "liberal hollywood celebrities" or even Obama as a celebrity when in truth the answer to your question: "What is the equivalent of Hollywood for Republicans?" is Ronald Reagen, Sonny Bono, Arnold Schwartenzeger, and Fred Thompson.
I think that the last time I heard of people making a pledge to be a servant to a person or leader was to Jim Jones in 1978 at the Peoples Temple in Guyana. Some wilfully drank the Kool Ade, Some were forced to drink it, ans some were shot because they didn't want to. I would be glad to serve my nation, but I am not going to serve the person that works for me. Obama should be serving us.

I would be surprised if one of these space aliens actually keeps their pledge past the end of the telepromter's illuminated/illuminating image. They're ACTORS, that is -- their profession is to parrot words for a make-believe experience. I know some, life-partnered another and have met many, and they are so far away in outer space that virtually none breathe oxygen.

How can you pledge to something that does not keep it's pledge nor oath? It's not that obama was NOT born here .... it is that he is NOT a US Citizen and never naturalized!! Get that? He is an imposter and illegal. It is against the law to pledge to something that is not law and violates oaths, people's rights, and good reason. THIS IS CALLED TREASON! PEOPLE WAKE UP!
