Is Obama a “Friend of the Court?”

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments if the law banning “gay marriage” in California is constitutional on March 26 and 27th. Never mind the law was a law passed by the legitimate voters of California and not one passed by a liberal legislation. One should ask why is it that laws passed allowing gay marriage is never challenged as non-constitutional. Nevertheless, as a “friend of the court” The Obama administration has submitted an amicus curiae brief to the Supreme Court stating his stance in favor of overturning the ban in California known as Proposition 8. Why, one should ask?

In addition, former Republican legislatures are jumping on the band wagon. A USA Today article Top Republicans urge court to support gay marriage, reports of signers of another court brief supporting homosexual marriages. The signers include former governors such as Jon Huntsman of Utah, Governor Whitman of New Jersey and Weld of Massachusetts.

Obama made the statement that this country is no longer a Christian nation when he was first elected in the 2008 election. Perhaps he is right. This country loses moral standing more and more every year. What will be the next big immoral front we will allow to happen in our homeland?
