Miss Miley Ray Cyrus has been the talk of music lately. As her audience awaits what is coming next. Cyrus has come a long way since her premiere on Disney Channel as the star of the show Hannah Montanna. She has left her country girl world and crashed into the pop world full fledged ready for success. Some may disagree with the way she is doing it but there is no doubt she has made herself the focus of the media.
Cyrus first released the video for her single "We Can't Stop" early this past June, the video featured Cyrus dancing with large stuffed animals promoting drugs and resposibility for one's own life. The catchy beat was trapped in the minds of youth everywhere, leaving over 1 Million results for covers and parodies of the song on YouTube. Cyrus then exploited her self during her performance of the song on the VMA's, she later was recorded saying, "Madonna's done it, Brittany's done it... you're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it... " (Miley might be more clever than we think.)
Cyrus' latest song "Wrecking Ball", where she is actually naked on top of an actual wrecking ball in the video has influenced college campuses across the country, from Young Harris College students singing it at any oppurtune time to students at Grand Valley State University trying to reinact the video on a school sculpture. Of course these events have caused more people to watch Cyrus' videos. She was recently featured in Mike WILL Made-it's video "23". The video almost has 23 Million hits under a week of it's release. Some comments don't really support the video like the one from user Devilish Monkey, "This song... It's corrupting the minds of children, turning them against us. IT MUST COME TO AN END". With all the hate coming at her, how does Cyrus respond to it? "My whole thing is, haters are gonna hate, but haters are also going to click on your YouTube video just to watch it, so I don't really care. You helped me break the record. Even if you were watching just to hate on me, and now I hold the record, so I win."
Rather or not you agree or disagree with the young pop stars transformation and use of her influence on the female youth, the fact still stands that she has a plan of succeeding in her industry and so far she is.
