Michelle Stafford teased fans with a tweet that has many wondering if the former Phyllis Newman on “The Young and the Restless” is headed to “General Hospital" as Nina Clay.

There have been rumors that Stafford is headed to play Nina Clay on “General Hospital” and a tweet on Feb. 24 from Michelle teased fans about a possible new project. Could this tweet be a tease, and is Stafford actually headed to “General Hospital”?

“General Hospital” fans began wondering what may be in store when Silas Clay, portrayed by Michael Easton, recently spoke about his wife Nina, who has been in a coma for two decades. This reference sparked rumors that Nina Clay may awake from her coma and that Michelle Stafford had been cast in the role.

Michelle Stafford tweeted:

“Today is an awesome day to start something new!! That's what I'm doing y'all... I'll tell u about it very soon! ❤”

In response to the tweet, fans asked if that “something new” was Stafford heading over to “GH”, which airs on ABC. But it could be something entirely different, as her internet series “The Stafford Project” has garnered several official selection nominations, including an official selection for the Hollyweb Festival 2014.
