Is Mel Gibson guilty of domestic violence? Before you say yes, check the facts

Is Mel Gibson really guilty of domestic violence, as Oksana Grigorieva claims?    

To bolster her claims of domestic violence at the hands of Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva has added a new and heretofore  unheard of  allegation to the other (false) charges she has made against Mel Gibson.   

In her most recent deposition made to the court, Oksana  now claims Mel Gibson beat her while having sex, in order to get aroused.      

Is this true?  Or is this another one of Oksana Grigorieva’s many lies about Mel?   

Those who have been closely following this 3-part legal battle (child custody – domestic violence – extortion)  between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva, know that Oksana has a serious credibility problem.    
 

Unfairly Judged Based on Oksana’s Lies

For months now, Oksana Grigorieva has waged a relentless smear campaign against Mel Gibson – in violation of  the original gag order issued by the judge.

Unlike Oksana, Mel Gibson has abided by the judge’s orders to refrain from discussing the case.    

At great cost to his reputation, Mel Gibson has maintained his silence, rather than publicly challenge Oksana, or say anything in his own defense.   After all, custody of his 1-year-old-daughter is at stake.

Anyone who forms an opinion based solely on Oksana’s false claims, and the doctored “evidence” she has   “leaked” to the media, are apt to unfairly conclude that Mel Gibson is guilty of domestic violence,  without being in full possession of all the facts.

The Facts Regarding Oksana’s Grigorieva’s Domestic Violence Claims

1.  Mel Gibson Did NOT Punch or Otherwise Assault Oksana Grigorieva or Baby Lucia

Oksana Grigorieva claims Mel Gibson punched her twice while she was holding baby Lucia, bruising the baby’s chin with one of his blows.

In a sworn declaration on file with the court, Mel Gibson stated  that on the night in question, Oksana  was hysterically shaking baby Lucia back and forth like a rag doll with such force that the baby was screaming at the top of her voice, and her little head was being violently shaken from side to side.  Lucia was only  2 months old at the time.

Unable to calm Oksana down, and becoming increasingly concerned for baby Lucia’s safety, Mel said he slapped  (not punched) Oksana once, to bring her back to her senses, because he feared that if Oksana didn’t stop baby Lucia would be a victim of “shaken baby syndrome.”

2.  Mel Gibson was Legally Required to Protect Baby Lucia from Oksana

Under a California Child Endangerment penal code, Mel Gibson was required by law protect baby Lucia.

California is said to have a penal code which makes it a crime to willfully allow a child (in your care or custody) to suffer harm, or to have his/her safety or health endangered.

3.  2  Prominent Domestic Violence Groups Have Distanced Themselves from Oksana Grigorieva 

It’s very telling that there’s not a single domestic violence support group in anywhere in the United States that supports Oksana’s domestic violence claims. 

When Oksana and her attorneys sought to align themselves with local domestic violence organizations in California, they made it clear that they no part of  Oksana Grigorieva and her false domestic violence claims.    

Within days of each other, two prominent California domestic violence groups,Peace Over Violenceand The California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, issued official statements disassociating  themselves from Oksana and her domestic violence lies.

4.  Oksana Continues to Tell Conflicting Versions of Her Domestic Violence Story

Oksana Grigorieva has told so many different versions of  what happenedthe night of January 6 when she  claims Mel punched and beat her, that she can’t even keep her own stories straight. 

Every time Oksana tells her story of what supposedly happened , there are major discrepancies, inconsistencies, and outright lies that are obvious when the different versions are compared.

5.  There is No real Evidence to Support Oksana's Claims

Oksana submitted fake photos of an injury to baby Lucia’s chin. 

A statement from Lucia’s pediatrician says there were no injuries to baby Lucia when she was brought in for a routine examination the day after the alleged  incident.

Experts say the pictures of the missing veneers from Oksana’s 2 front teeth are inconsistent with being struck in the mouth.  There is no evidence of damage to Oksana’s lips, cheeks, the tissue surrounding her mouth, or any other part of Oksana’s face. 

Some experts have even suggested that the damage to Oksana’s front teeth may have been self-inflicted.

6.  The Judge Recently Increased Mel Gibson’s Rights with Baby Lucia 

Though Mel and Oksana have joint physical and legal custody of their daughter Lucia. Oksana petitioned the judge to reduce Mel Gibson’s visitation rights.    

Instead of decreasing Mel’s visitation rights as Oksana requested, Judge Scott Gordon increased them.  And Oksana is the one who ended up with less time.    See  Mel Gibson – Oksana Grigorieva Custody Update – More Visitation Time for Mel     

As a former  prosecutor in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, specializing in domestic violence, Judge Gordon has insight into domestic violence  situations.   If he thought Mel Gibson posed any threat to baby Lucia, he would have discontinued Me’s visitation rights.   

Judge Gordon’s  recent modification of  the custody agreement between Mel and Oksana sends a very powerful message.   

Under the terms of the original agreement, Mel and Oksana would have equal , or 50-50 custody when Lucia turned 3 years old.  Although Lucia is only 1 year old, Mel Gibson now has  custody of baby Lucia for more than 50% of the time.

7.  Mel Gibson’s wife, Robyn Gibson,  voluntarily filed an affidavit on Mel’s behalf

In view of Oksana’s domestic violence allegations against Mel, his soon to be ex-wife, Robyn Gibson voluntarily came forward and  made an official stateme  nt in Mel’s behalf. 

Mel and Robyn have raised 7 children together - 6 of whom are young adults in their 20’s, ranging in agefrom 20 to 29, and one son who is  11, and lives at home.    

Robyn stated that during their marriage of almost 30  years,  Mel had never engaged in any physical abuse towards her or their 7 children.

Before You Condemn Mel Gibson, Consider the Facts

There’s so much more to  the Mel Gibson  - Oksana Grigorieva legal battle than what has been widely reported by the media.

So don’t be so quick to assume that  Mel Gibson is guilty of domestic violence.
