Lance Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and accused of doping several months ago. According to the New York Times on Jan. 4, Armstrong is considering a possible admission to the rumored us of the performance-enhancing drugs and the blood transfusions.
Not only did Armstrong lose his seven titles, he also was barred for life from competing in all Olympic sports. According to several people with direct knowledge of the situation, Armstrong is considering publicly admitting doping because he want to persuade antidoping officials to restore his eligibility to resume his athletic career.
Wealthy supporters of his Livestrong charity have been trying to persuade him to come forward to not only clear his conscience but to also save the organization that he founded.
In order to have the lifetime ban reduced against Lance Armstrong, he would need to to make a full confession. This would include how he did it, who helped him and how he got away with it.
