One year ago, Kanye West infamously snatched the microphone away from country music star Taylor Swift, igniting endless jokes an gaining the ire of what seemed like every viewer of the MTV VMAs and most members of the media. Now, Kanye is not only apologizing to Swift, he's going the Boyz II Men route--he's down on bended knee.
Kanye, who will release a new studio album later this year, has taken to Twitter to ask Swift for forgiveness. But Kanye, clearly contrite, gets introspective, too. Somehow able to convey his deep emotions in under 140 characters, Kanye treats Twitter and his 974,000-plus followers like his personal shrink:
-"I've hurt, I've bled, I've learned. I only want to do good. I am passionate I am human I am real. I wish I could meet every hater."
-"I wish I could talk to every hater face to face and change there a opinion of me one conversation at a time."
-"I wish they all knew how much I really cared about music and pop culture and art and peoples feelings."
-"I wish they could accept that I've grown and only want to do good for the world. I want to help as many people as I can."
Kanye then tweets that in order for him to win back the hearts and minds of the masses, he must begin with a public apology.
"I'm sorry Taylor," tweeted Kanye on Saturday.
Kanye has been on a personal journey of digital proportions as of late. On Friday, West tweeted the following:
-"With new found humility ... who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down."
-"It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What's the point of dressing tastefully if I'm going to act the complete opposite?"
-"Beyonce didn't need that. MTV didn't need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn't want or need that."
At one point, West tells his followers he's seen Wicked four times. He then says it's the story of his life.
"The Wicked witch of the west basically is so convicted to tell her' truth when she does it she is outcasted (sic) by society and turned WICKED," tweeted West.

OMG...why is this article questioning his sanity? This is the exact shameful behavior that Kanye was criticizing the media for...they don't listen, they just exploit his honest passion.

I don't know him or Miss Swift, but I did see that rude interruption on the VMA He made a total "FOOL" of himself to take away the moment from that young lady. Totally inexcusable. He's only remorseful now because it hurt his career. But Miss Swift has10 times more class than him and will more than likely forgive him.

If it was the only time he made an ass of himself I would be more likely to forgive him, but he has done this kind of stuff too often. I believe the only reason he is doing this is because you mentioned that he is going to release an album soon. Perhaps he has lost some of his fan base, and by doing this he is trying to redeem himself in their eyes? This is what you call damage control. By the way, one of the guys said Kanye was King... but you've got to become a Prince first... a True Artist.
