In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Anne Curtis, one of the brightest stars in the industry, revealed that she is open to do a project with box office king John Lloyd Cruz this year. Said interview was posted on this website yesterday, Jan. 10, 2014 (Philippine time).
Incidentally, John Lloyd Cruz is doing a romantic-comedy series with Toni Gonzaga on ABS-CBN. In an interview with the movie press, John Lloyd compared Home Sweetie Home to the king of comedy's John 'N Marsha, a defunct situational comedy series that aired over the Radio Philippines Network from 1973 to 1990. Created by Adíng Fernando, the series starred Dolphy, Nida Blanca, Dely Atay-Atayan and Maricel Soriano.
Is John Lloyd ready to work with Anne Curtis this year? Anne had an intriguing incident with John Lloyd happened at a bar in Taguig City last month, based on the report, she was drunk during that night. Allegedly, Anne slapped John Lloyd and three other local celebrities including Phoemela Baranda. But anyway, said allegation was already cleared. Anne has already apologized to the persons involved. And now, she is scheduled to play the role of a mermaid in the upcoming TV series Dyesebel.
Several weeks ago, some people were speculating that the network will tap Kim Chiu or KC Concepcion to play the lead role in Dyesebel, but like what you read in print and social media these past two days, Anne was chosen by ABS-CBN. Her co-star Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson are also happy to know that they are included in the Mars Ravelo created comics character.
