Honesty is the foundation of good character and character establishes who one is. Taking the honest route is not always the easiest way out of a situation. However for those with courage who do not try to seek ways out of situations, honesty is the only way to handle a situation. Sometimes being honest could mean feeling the wrath of others. There might be backlash. But keep in mind that in the end, the truth always prevails and honest is always best. Honestly might not be the easiest thing, but being honest is the only thing to be.
It is often said, “Honesty is the best policy.” Yet, it is hardly news to anyone that dishonesty rules. Everyone looks down on dishonesty, but everyone is dishonest most of the time. One tends to use “little white lies” to smooth things over when it gets sticky. Paying the price for these little white lies are not usually worth it in the long run. The truth no matter how hard it is to say should always be adhered. In the end, it is the best policy.
Everyone has been in a situation where he or she has met a nice man or woman. Everything seems to be on point from the first conversation to the last date, then all of a sudden –nothing. Initially the one experiencing the silent treatment is wondering, what happened? After a week, he or she realizes that some people are not worth another thought.
Everyone claims to want total honesty in every relationship in his or her life. Usually this occurs with family and close friends. However, it is not always the case with those potentials. Why is it so hard to be honest, especially about your feelings towards someone else? If it is a go, then say it. If it is a no, then say it. The cruelest thing is to not say anything at all.
Honesty is always the best answer to any situation. Whether one thinks it will hurt someone or not, being honest is the way to be. Honesty is always best.
