Most people agree that doing everything we can to help our earth stay free of pollutants is a good thing. Which is usually what pops into our head when we hear the words "Going Green". However, there is a growing movement to start green with the very things that affect our environment the most, our bodies! The "slow food" movement, along with supporting local farmer's markets and merchants has taken off. Even organic food producers are into packaging their food in more "green" friendly containers. Consumer packaged goods are tough on the environment. Period. Everything, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing and distributing final products, has an environmental consequence. I like to think of our business as a part of an ecosystem with every decision and action interdependent and connected to the rest of the world.
We are on a journey towards sustainability. The 14er we are currently climbing is sourcing Sustainable Squeeze Pack Film. Right now, the technology does not exist for a fully sustainable film. Our goal is to one day have a completely renewable squeeze pack.
