“The Young and the Restless” has had a difficult time since the passing of Jeanne Cooper, who portrayed Katherine Chancellor, and lost three key characters in the months following her death. Despite the loss of Cooper, Michelle Stafford, Billy Miller and Michael Muhney the has enjoyed some of the highest ratings it has had in seven years.

But that may come to an end if the rumors that Michelle Stafford, who exited the role of Phyllis Newman, has been cast as Nina Clay on "General Hospital" which could happen according to a Feb. 20 report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry. Fans were first alerted when Silas Clay spoke about his wife Nina, who has been in a coma for 20 years.

Ironically, the character of Phyllis Newman on “The Young and Restless” was written out when she lapsed into a coma after a tragic fall down a flight of stairs. At the time Stafford told several publications that she was leaving in order to pursue other projects including "The Stafford Project" and to spend more time with her daughter.
