Is fake the new Fendi?

For centuries, women have thrived to own the latest fashions.  The biggest cause of happiness and unfortunately debt is based on many women trying to have designer brands such as Coach, Fendi, Prada, or Gucci.  Even I can admit the attraction to designer brands.  They are definitely special and glamorous compared to unknown brands that can be picked up at any retail or department store.  As people visit the websites of these designers, it is noticeable that the prices are sky high.  A handbag on a designer website can range from $200-$800 dollars per piece.  The way the economy is going, it is becoming more and more difficult for hard working people to own this merchandise.  Now, there are fabulous websites where women can buy pseudo designer purses for extremely low prices.  These handbags look amazing and one can barely tell the difference between the knock offs and the authentic item.  Proceeding to do some research on this topic, I started to wonder, Is fake the new Fendi?

If someone does an experiment where they use a fake designer bag, then see what compliments they receive, the outcome would be agreeable.  I personally tested this theory and received many comments on how elegant the handbag looks.  There appears to be an extreme increase in the sales of OEM or other types of designer imitations.

What's your point?  The point is that people can't tell the difference between most non-authentic designer bags.  Even if a person can tell that the bag is fake, it makes no difference in the appearance or the opinion of the bag.  So the new trend is websites selling fake designer bags for super cheap.  That sounds like a miracle to me.

So, since fake is the new Fendi, does this mean that authentic Fendi's would be accused of being fake?  If so, then that means that there is no reason to spend all the money to own an authentic designer bag.
