You might not get a job here, but there are plenty of others available in Washington DC
According to an article posted on TechCrunch, Buffalo is one of the worst cities in the US to do a job search in. Buffalo was better than Rochester, but out of the 50 cities in the study, Buffalo finished at #40, hardly something to be proud of. At least we're not Detroit, which came in dead last, and by a big margin.
The study looked at the number of job postings in relation to the number of unemployed people. Using their methodology, the Washington DC area came out on top, with six postings for every one unemployed person. Buffalo's ratio was exactly the opposite - one opening for every six job seekers. Detroit had one opening for 18 unemployed. Ouch.
Does this study accurate reflect what's going on in Buffalo today? Do you agree with the study's findings? Let me know in the comments section below.
