Is Bill O'Reilly upset with Sarah Palin for not interviewing with him? (Video)

Sarah Palin will do her first interview since the Arizona shootings interview next Monday on Fox News.  Palin has been engrossed in the debate about "heated political rhetoric" in the year before Congresswoman Giffords (D-AZ) and 18 others were shot.  Palin's "crosshairs map" has been cited as an example of this kind of "toxic rhetoric", though Palin vehemently denied any connection in her recent statement released through Facebook.  Palin has chosen Sean Hannity to be her interviewer in her return, a move that seems to have left Bill O'Reilly a little perturbed.  In the video to the left O'Reilly asks why both Palin and Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn.) have not come on his show since the shootings.

O'Reilly essentially claims that he was one of the first to come to the defense of Palin and Bachmann, and they both, therefore, owe him an interview in return.  O'Reilly guest then points out that he seems to have only come to their defense in order to gain a later interview  from the women.  O'Reilly rejects that claim, but still seems annoyed that Palin has gone to Hannity in her return.

This is not the first time O'Reilly has been bothered by Palin's choice of interviewers.  When Palin joined Fox News she granted her first interview to Hannity, to the dismay of O'Reilly at the time.  When Palin did interview O'Reilly he challenged her slightly more than Hannity did, though most still considered the interview fairly friendly.  Hannity is considered the ultimate "softball interviewer" for Republicans, which is perhaps why Palin choose him.  Some have questioned Palin's inability to face tough questions.  Even many Republicans, like Gov. Chris Christie, have said Palin will not be able to become President unless she can take questions from a less friendly interviewer.

It has been my long standing belief that autonomy does not exist in the Fox News organization. All messages must follow the lines dictated from "ABOVE." None seems to follow this more faithfully than Sean Hannity. He will go over and over the same LINE (I left the "n" in there where it really didn't belong...)
until he can get another juicy ANTI-progressive line to pound into the subconscious of his audience. Seems there was someone on the Axis side in WW II who believed the big lie told often enough would eventually blot out Truth. For the Ditto heads of Hannity's "Uncle Rush," that seems to have happened. I wonder \whether Fox's messages from "ABOVE" are sent down by Roger Ailes and operatives or the apparently Clueless owner of this right-wing propaganda machine.

I'm trying to get some one-line "Zingers" to be able to join the younger generation, or, at least, to keep them from going to sleep. ('Scuse me, I gotta take my power nap.)

Try this one. It's a real zinger: Hannity is an idiot.

Relax Klatoo, I found that to be very entertaining. I think I thanked you for a post you made a few days ago if I'm not mistaken.... Don't let it get to your head.

Oh don't get into a twist. I didn't mean anything by it.

You know, I went back and checked and it was Mick that I thanked for a post. Now I remember, you're the one that thinks Glenn Beck is a great teacher and brilliant historian. Sorry for the confusion.

I once compared Sean Hannity's interview with Sarah Palin in the post-Charlie Gibson affair as akin to the SNL skit wherein Chris Farley is a host of a show who asks really dumb questions, just as Hannity did - lobbing softballs to Palin: "Remember... remember when you were the governor of Alaska and... you gave all those people... like free money... that was aaaaawesome."

in the world gets into O'Reilly, but from time to time he acts like a real news reporter. That's why SP can't risk going anywhere near him.

Would someone please stick some duct tape over Sarah's mouth so she can't get her foot in?
