Spoiler savvy "Dancing with the Stars" fans were surprised when the hit reality show's Feb. 26 cast announcement didn't include current "Bachelor" Sean Lowe. So will the blonde-haired, blue-eyed reality star take part in the competition or not? Sources say yes.
Although Sean's camp and "DWTS" producers alike are mum on the matter, "Bachelor" spoiler king Reality Steve assured fans in a post-cast reveal blog entry that Catherine-or-Lindsay's fiance will dance for the Mirrorball Trophy. He wrote "he’s definitely doing it.... It’s not speculation, or I’m hearing rumors. This is a certainty..." He went on to muse that Sean's presence in the ballroom would bring good ratings for ABC and a nice paycheck for the man himself, but that his participation won't be confirmed until after "The Bachelor" ends.
A cryptic Feb. 27 tweet by pro Peta Murgatroyd, a previously confirmed season 16 participant whose name was also suspiciously absent from the cast roster, fueled further speculation. As cast members prepared for the season's first big photo shoot, Peta wrote "Big day today! Oh it's early... #riseandshine time to play." She dodged questions from fans asking if she'd be on the show this season, which would be odd behavior by someone not planning to dance.
With Sean's participation a near sure thing, perhaps the biggest question is how Sean's fiancee feels about him working so closely with Peta. The one-time professional champion is not only gorgeous, but recently available following pre-Valentine's Day split from former "Dancing" star Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"Dancing with the Stars" 2013 premieres March 18 on ABC.
