Today, Feb. 20, E! Online reported that a source has revealed “The Voice” judge, Christina Aguilera, is pregnant and expecting her second child. Just last week, Aguilera announced she got engaged to now fiancé, Matthew Rutler, via Twitter:
He asked and I said……
Along with her message, she posted a picture of the couple just barely holding hands, showing off her giant engagement ring. Aguilera and Rutler have been together since 2010, when they met on the set of the film “Burlesque.” This will be the first child for the couple together; although Aguilera does have a six-year-old son, Max, with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman. (Aguilera and Bratman have been divorced since October of 2010).
The singer has not yet commented on word of her pregnancy news, which comes on the heels of former fellow judge, CeeLo Green’s, big announcement yesterday that he will not be returning to “The Voice.” He told Ellen DeGeneres he would still work closely with NBC on other projects, but his time as a judge on the show has come to an end. Aguilera and Green currently alternate coaching seasons with Shakira and Usher, so as rumors swirl on who will replace CeeLo, Aguilera’s pregnancy may complicate her return for Season Seven later on this year as well.
You can catch “The Voice” beginning next week, Feb. 24, when Season Six premieres on NBC.
