After telling all of you about The Walking Dead coming to AMC, the show went on to have a stellar first season. This made it all the more shocking when it was reported that the writing staff had been let go. Well now the word on the street is that executive producer Charles Eglee is in talks to head up the production of the Powers adaptation for the FX network. Writer Brian Bendis even confirmed this through his Twitter feed:

ok, i rarely do this. but the powers tv rumor that hit the net today... confirmed as fact!

Powers, written by Bendis with art by Michael Avon Oeming, chronicles the life of Detective Christian Walker as he deals with stubborn partners and powers related homicides in a city full of super-powered individuals.

The FX network has a great track record for dramatic television including Rescue Me, Justified, Sons of Anarchy and The Shield, which Eglee also produced. Lets hope they continue this tradition when Powers hits TVs!
